4 Sharp Corners Website

Is any one else having problems? 90% of the time I click on a category and nothing comes up. The rest of the time it works fine. No one at 4 Sharp Corners can ever help me. Any one have any suggestions? It doesn't matter if I use my Apple desktop with the maverick operating system or if I use my lap top with windows 8

  • I know what you mean, their web site runs about as slow as dialup and it will really test your patience. Usually, I'll try to multitask and surf around on other sites while I am waiting for their site to load up.

I just go to their eBay page to search through their cards, much easier, have had no problems on their eBay page.

I was having issues yesterday. Their discount word was "REDUCED" and nothing would show up when I type it into the search bar.

    Edit: You're correct, doesn't work.

Other than the site being slow from time to time, I've never had a problem with it.

Their eBay auctions almost always cost more, why not use the website and save?

I think this is a 4SC screwup. There are high priced cards that I'm watching. The price always goes now a little at one of these announcements. The show no price change from last week.

I thought they were referring to a discount code. I hadn't read the e-mail. It does say to search for the word "REDUCED", my bad.

I called them, they checked to confirm that it is not working and are going to look into the issue.

    Dytch2220,

I don't buy from their eBay page, I just scroll through the cards and when I find a card I want, I go to their website and buy it.

I agree and that's what I'm trying to do. But most of the time I'll click on a category like FB just to bring up all the FB inventory and NOTHING comes up. I've even clicked on the entire inventory link and nothing comes up. What is frustrating is I get back an email explaining it works on their end and don't know what to tell me. And you guys are correct---dial up is quicker

Just learned that the hard way, but at least with what I bought it only cost me a few bucks. From now on, though, it's website only.

Took less than 3 seconds for football cards to load on their site for me.

Your best bet is to wait for a sale, use the website and order $50.00+ in cards for free shipping.

sounds like they used the same web designer as the healthcare.gov. But seriously, its being overloaded by something, either they got some kind of script error that is using up nodes or they are being attacked by ddos.

After 5 days of trying, I finally got on tonight, placed some items in my cart, when presto, the site froze and I lost everything! Then of course I couldn't get back in. Pathetic. They always tell me the same thing "well it works on our end". Really? That's your answer? How does that help me? They never offer to have their IT people contact me. I'm done, I'm shopping elsewhere.

Honestly, though, it seems to be working on their end, my end, and a lot of other places too. They can only control their own site, and not the other potential issues between their server and your screen.

if your browse is old, try upgrading, though no guarantees, though it is likely your software is already current.

The problem is that there are too many inconsistencies between browsers. Someone at work is developing a new display system for us. Getting things to dusplay rightvon all browsers is a royal pain.

Some sites I visit report that I'm using an old unsupported browser, and that I need to upgrade.
I'm running on an ipad, and I'm aleady current.

The bottom line is that it is difficult to test web software on all possible configurations.

    +1

Try a different browser. If you use IE, try Chrome or Firefox. Or vice versa. I have had some sites only work with IE due to how they did the programming behind the scenes. I recently had a boatload of troubles using IE at home after I upgraded it to version 10. I eventually downgraded back to version 9 and now it works fine.

    Just some suggestions.

Edit to add: I see in the OP you are using Windows 8. If possible, try from a Windows machine using Win 7.

Thanks for all the advice. I use Safari on my IMac and all operating systems are up to date. My service provider is xfinity/comcast and often times it doesn't function well with Safari. I am happy to say I finally got on 4 Sharp Corners last week and it worked well and I placed an order. Still have no clue why its so inconsistent.
