Has anyone cracked open one of the new PSA slabs?

I'm eager to see the reports.

    Was it a wrestling injury?

The only wrestling I do is with my wife. And she gets pinned every time. image

In all seriousness it just was from wear and tear.

Big question: can they be opened and re-sealed like the old slabs?

    yes, I have..
no they cannot be resealed.. they are like the slabs for 5x7 jay publishing pics..
you have to crack off a corner and jimmy inside a flat head and turn to pop it.. even then it was still difficult

That's good. I was considering getting my more valuable PC cards re-slabbed.

wasn't too hard, just need to use pliers and flat head. Not as easy as older ones, would equate it to opening an sgc holder

No way.. sgc is easier then all others.
the new psa holder cannot be crack without damaging it.
    Much better in that regard.

Agreed. SGC always the easiest to open. New PSA holders are harder to crack open than before but still not too difficult.

Is the risk of damaging the card higher? I've started getting cards in the new holder but haven't tried to crack one yet. I wonder if I'm going to have to resort to my Dremel tool to cut them open.

Once you break off a corner, the rest of the case is not that hard to pry open.
The new cases are a vast improvement
