Who's buying 2013 Topps Chrome Football?

Product breaks next week. I got my pre-order in. I know that a lot of people are down on this rookie class, but the lower cost of the boxes has made re-couping your cost much easier.
I've been buying Chrome FB cases every year since 2008. I would rank this year's product #3 behind 2012 and 2011 on a rookie card basis. Lots of depth at RB and WR, and lots of sleepers. There is no franchise QB, but I think Geno, EJ, and Glennon could have break thru.
If you include the refractor options, it would be second behind 2012. Topps really stepped up the refractors in 2012, that drove the value as much as the great rookie class.
FWIW - 2009 was absolutely the worst year for Topps Chrome. There is only one QB, Stafford, and the rest of the rookies are average. 2010 is close, but the TEs - Graham and Gronk - and the strong WR class help.

I actually just ripped 6 hobby packs of 2006 Topps Chrome football. Not much to speak of on the results. Out of 24 cards, only got 2 inserts: #173 Elvis Dumervil RC refractor and #HOFT-JT Jim Thorpe HOF card. Got base cards of Brees, Favre, and Rodgers. I also collect Ravens cards and I got 4 of those (although 2 were of Kyle Boller - ugh
I did just buy two '07 chromes off of BBCE. I'm going to rip them, but considering the two monster rookies (AP, C. Johnson), and some real good next guys (revis, lynch), its a good deal at under $100/box. I know no major qb hurts it, but AP, and Johnson (likely) are HOFers
<< <i>I'll probably buy one box, I was pretty big into last year, but that was obviously a different year. Burns me that I only bought 3 boxes when I first got them at right around $70 each.

I think you beat me for those boxes! I didn't have much from 2005-2007. The QB class from 2007 was a complete bust. The Lynch auto rookies sell very well.
FavreFan - Maybe we can discuss a Packer deal in a PM. I have a bunch from 2008-2012 and will be breaking at least 2 case of 2013.
I never bought 2006 Chrome since I was busy moving and changing jobs that year. I'm sorta glad that I missed out on the "Greatest Rookie Class" ever. I know I bought into the hype.
I plan to break the case over the weekend. I'll post some scans of the better pulls. I think Topps front loaded the cases last year based on the pulls I saw from myself and other collectors I know. I got a Prism Luck Auto, RG3 Ref auto, and a Trent Richardson Pink auto in one case. Another buddy of mine pulled 5 Camo Autos in his case, mostly the second tier QBs - Foles, Osweiler, Weeden, Tannehill. Hopefully they do it again this year!
Base cards: Keenan Allen RC, Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald. Also got Elvis Dumervil (I collect Ravens cards so that's cool) and Ed Reed, which my son wanted
Regular refractors, veterans: Jay Cutler, Clay Matthews, and Matthew Stafford. Somewhat weak, with Stafford really the only one worth having.
Regular refractors, rookies: Terrance Williams, Vance McDonald, and Kenjon Barner. Also fairly weak; Terrance Williams the only notable one in the bunch, really.
I noticed they actually print "refractor" on the back of the card. Not sure if that is becoming standard but I like the concept. Sometimes I find it hard with certain products to tell if a card really is a refractor or is just normally shiny.
Serial numbered and other special inserts:
BCA Pink: Jon Bostic #390/399.
1959 Topps Minis Set: #5 Mike Glennon
1969 Topps Set: #21 Marquise Goodwin
1986 Topps Set: #6 Zach Ertz
Pretty weak with only the Glennon card as one that stands out, since now he's the Bucs starting QB. Even then, it's just the "regular" mini and not a serial-numbered item.
Overall I have to say I was disappointed in what I pulled from this box. Striking lack of star power in the ones I found, even among the base cards. I'm likely to stick with hobby packs or even pony up for a hobby box eventually.
Well, that's my experience so hopefully it means you guys will be pulling some of the better stuff and telling us all about it
