There is a pretty full and free listing (with images) of the Indian Cent variieties, if you do a google search for Indian Cent wiki . The page for 1871 is: http://indiancent.wikispaces.com/1871 and the list is: 1871 S1 1871/1871 (s) on digit punch. All non-variety die pairs. 1871 S2 71 touch. 1871 S3 Last 1/1 (s). RPD-001
Does yours match one of these?
Unfortunately, the relevant varieties don't have images. But at least you have some descriptions to work with.
Thanks for posting the image. That's a level date. Has to be 1874. 1871 date has the 8 and 7 lower than the 1s, with each digit about the same distance from the dentils. Level dates started with 1872.

i found that the wiki at indian cent world seems to operate like vamworld in that users can upload images of their own to the pages.
the most important thing is to name the files that are uploaded very uniquely so that other files aren't overwritten accidentally.
.
I would add that while it might be interesting, since this is a key date, the premium over a regular 1871 may be pretty small.
Coin Club Benefit auctions ..... View the Lots
but the S1b version with the "bar lip" die gouge is pretty cool.
