Is anyone here working on a set or has a completed a set of only pedigreed coins...

using as many different pedigrees as possible in the same set?

  • I collect pedigree coins and try to have at least one, two or more of each if possible but
there is usually such a variety of coins in a hoard or collection that it makes it hard to do.
I am working on a set of "Windy City Monster Box Hoard" American Silver Eagles that runs
from 1986 to 2008 and need three to finish it. Then also a Short Set of Walking Liberty
Half Dollars from the "Nevada Silver Collection" and need seven to make it. This one
might be tuff to do. To me a " Pedigree " is a coin with a history that can be verified by
articles and stories about the collection or collector and not just a registry set put together
by some one or a group of coins that a collector or dealer has sent in to be graded and asked
and maybe paid extra for a name to be added to a tpg's label. I have just recently started on
    U. S. Currency pedigrees and found so many just as interesting hoards, collections and startling
finds such as the "Wall of Greed Collection" and several others. It is all about learning, hunting
and most of all Having Fun.
