Member of the NDRG, Numismatic Dealers Registry Board / Numismatic Internet Dealers Guild. Never heard of those organizations until today. Tried to look up a listing of
approved internet dealers on that site and there's no list of members. That's odd. You'd think someone promoting integrity and ethics in a hobby would be happy to identify members.
Exactly how does NDRG protect us and what other authorized PCGS and/or PNG dealers are members?
PCGS, NGC and CAC logo's are displayed prominently on the web site. Is this an authorized PCGS, NGC and CAC dealership?

<< <i>Guys been on eBay since 2004 100% FB and takes PayPal, you're protected. How much more you need? >>
That's fine for Ebay. Would be nice to know who you're dealing with on the CU Forum BST though. I would hope that the standards here and the quality of sellers are better than Ebay?
And fwiw, I don't consider PayPal "fool proof" protection. They don't always side with the party that is in the right.
One could probably write a very long list of long time EBay members with 100% FB. It doesn't by itself mean I'd be comfortable doing business with them.
The Ebay FB system is essentially useless considering that 90-99% of sellers have 100% FB ratings. My biggest loss on EBay was at the hands of a long time Ebayer with 100% FB.
Let me take a moment to clarify a few things.
I have been in business since 2004 and on ebay since then as a part-time dealer. I mostly deal in Saint Gaudens Double Eagles. They are such beautiful coins with an interesting history.
Becoming a member of Numismatic Dealers Registry Board (NDRB) was by invitation from the group's ebay moderator at the time. Since then ebay has changed the way the community groups work so the group seems to be in a state of limbo at this time. There have been some email exchanges on whether the group will continue. The dealer list is found here: http://www.numismaticdealersregistryboard.org/dealerverification.html
I am not an authorized dealer for PCGS, NGC or CAC. I only buy, sell or collect coins that have been graded by PCGS or NGC. When I first started I did not know there was a difference between the grading companies. As you can imagine I was taken advantage of until I finally wised up.
I have had one negative feedback on ebay from a customer who wanted to return a coin but wanted the refund before the coin was returned. I would not do this. Most of the coins I sell are high end and their cost reflects this fact. However, I would have gladly made a full refund once the coin was returned. He kept the coin.
I would be very grateful for the chance to prove that I am one of the good guys and consider it an honor to earn your business.
