An old, stained, written-on, expired sales booklet (any bibliophiles in the house?)
There were (4) W.W.C. Wilson sales held 1925-1928. Chapman's "bid books" #3 and #4 were sold in the first John J. Ford literature sale by Kolbe in 2004. Here's #2. Does #1 still exist? Does anyone have on hand a Harmer-Rooke MillionDollarSale part II? Were there any Chapman Bid Books for WWCW sales in there?

<< <i>Whats a Bid Book? I would assume it was a ledger that contains a list of all the bids, either chronologically or by lot but this looks like an auction catalog. Is it a catalog with all the bids annotated for each lot? >>
A Bid Book is the copy that has notes, lot numbers circled, pages donkey eared, prices penciled in, etc.
I'd rather have a copy like this as it gives you an insight on the bidders thoughts and strategy back in the day.
