On days like this...

On days like this, I really wish I had a man cave. Ugh...but since I don't, I didn't know if anyone would be willing to share pics of theirs so I can at least ooh and ahh over yours.

Thanks!

My man cave is in its early stages. Here is an overview of the main part:

    image

It sports the Big Red Machine logo:

My favorite personal sports item is this autographed picture of the "Great 8" from the Big Red machine. The back of it features photos of each player signing it:

It has a booth area featuring some autographed baseballs:

    Bobble heads!!

Of course, my favorite area is the bar, with more Reds stuff:

It has a lot of room for growth and a lot of wall space to fill.

I want to see some more man caves!!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Great pics! My man cave is my workshop. Nothing sports related in it, so I will refrain from posting pics unless you want pictures of toolboxes and power tools.
Still.... living in a house full of females, I love having my workshop to hang out in when things get too hectic.
  • We just moved into our house last summer, so still trying to figure out where everything is and where it needs to go. My hope is that I can take one side of the garage and put in a ping pong table, dart board, and maybe a Ms. Pacman. We'll see if it happens.

Love the Reds man cave, but lack the focus (collecting or otherwise) to put something like that together myself.

One of the best caves I've seen.
I'm building a 1968 and a 1970 Topps set. I have lots of 1970s and 1960s to offer in trade.

I think I copied this from a 6 year old post I made, but it's all I have. Things have changed a bit down there. One of these days I'll snap some new pics.

As you come down the steps

    image

Through the door and to the left. The sports bar area. Floor is cork. Went with the pub height table and 8 chairs for poker and drinking games (man, who woulda thought I'd still be playing drinking games at 36).

    image

Joe M jersey, a few signed balls, and some of my favorite cards from childhood.

    image

Other wall. A few more balls, some art prints, some Buffalo Bills crap (born and raised, 0-4), extra fridge.

    image

Bar. Quartz top. Built the soffit. Those are LED puck lights. More stuff on the walls.

    image

Behind the bar. Wine fridge and mini fridge with ice maker. A few raw Mantles.

    image

Other 1/2 of the room (tv rooom). Currently shopping for decorations.

Cool stuff guys. My man cave turned into a kids play room image When they get older I might get my area back. Instead I get 1 closet and 2 book shelves to hold my stuff. I love the Reds auto of the Great eight. My favorite team growing up and became Phillies fan when they got Rose. Griffey was my favorite player. Thanks for sharing those Man caves, I am getting some good ideas for the future.

Really nice layouts. Some of you guys have your very own mini sports bars.

What's the deal with the Reds figures on top of the wine rack? They aren't all McFarlanes, are they?

Looks like one of those sets where you get the whole team (Gartlan/Galvino or something like that?)
  • GREAT stuff fellas. Give me about 4-6 more years and I'll show mine image

Thanks everyone!! I waited 20 years to have my own space like that. Believe or not, it was my wife's idea to do the baseball theme. I just picked up some authentic 1950's baseball cleats that I am going incorporate.

Right now, I have Shock Top on tap, but I am preparing to transition to a winter beer!

The Reds figurines are part of the Cooperstown Collection. It is a single piece. I will try to post a close-up shot of it later.

    Sounds good.

I also love the autographed photo. That's Yankee Stadium in '76, so it's one of the last couple of times that group was together.

That's one of the team figurine sets made by the Danbury Mint.
