No chance of a ten

I probably already know the answer, but I just want to verify this has no chance of a ten because of the o/c?

First ignore most everything(scanner is junk) else, except the cut on the back.

Thanks

Just in terms of the back centering, I think the card could still 10.

    This card 10'ed:

Centering looks pretty nice to me, it's got chance.
  • Definately has a chance. Could easily see it in a 10 holder

I don't think centering is the question. He's asking about the tilt. I've never tried to grade anything like this so I'll have to let others who are more experienced answer on that aspect of grading.

I think it might barely meet 10 qualifications with the back centering, but it would depend on where they measure with that tilt. I would say 8-9 is much more likely.

This is going to sound blasphemous but I think PSA likes slight tilts.

Centering-wise, here is what a 75/25 looks like to the eye.

they don't necessarily downgrade them. that's been proven over and over.

i feel the example posted by the OP doesn't stand a chance, therefore i suggest it be submitted immediately.

    go get your 10. image
  • I recently sold an 83 Fleer Sandberg PSA 10 that was almost miscut on back.

Well, I'll send it in anyway. I can always use another PSA 9 of this card......not really. Based on your comments, now I'm curious to see what happens.
    Will post the results.

I don't think PSA pays much attention to the backs, certainly not as much as the fronts.

My experience has been PSA pays little attention to the backs. Unless you have a miscut or some major back issue, my experience has been it is not a deal breaker. I'd submit if the corners are strong (hard to tell from scan).
  • I think the front centering may be what gives it a 9. Back is fine.
In their survey, I think it was about 5% of collectors who thought the back was as important as the front.
