I'm not going to run it -- but for the past several years we've done that on this board.

In addition, several other message boards have already begun the process -- so is someone going to pick up the mantle this year

I know there have been issues in the past. The person who "runs" it is responsible for starting the thread and making sure everyone knows who their Secret Santa is. Then every person is individually responsible for mailing a box to said person. Everyone will be on the honor system.

I'd be willing to run it this year, I don't think it will be too much effort. We would have to make a rule that only members with a year/100 posts under their belt can join in. If people show interest, I will start the thread.

I certainly understand that policy, and I would ask for a waiver, as I would really like to participate. If it's any help for my cause, I participated in the last group rip and paid right away (even though I'm still waiting for my stuff ).

I haven't been able to be a part of this the last two years. I'd love to jump in if someone heads it up this year. I remember when Lawnmowerman used to do this. You might contact him to get some help if you're wanting to run it.

I was pretty new to the boards last year when this started, and so I didn't participate, but I wish I would've after seeing the results. Members are very generous. My wife won't buy me anything to feed my habit, so this would be my best chance of getting some awesome hobby related stuff. Count me in.
