Those are simply breathtaking.
I really would like to see CBH's like that, in person some day.

<< <i>I guess Lady Liberty looks too fat, which isn't phat
<< <i>
I don't think Miss Liberty is fat or phat - maybe husky is a better word. Now Miss Liberty on a Morgan - that's phat. And let's not even go there on a Barber.
That's why I like seated type....she's got that 'far-a-away-look' going for her!
Sweet!!!

Here's a slideshow of Davignon's coins consigned to Sheridan for FUN
Lovely ladies AnkurJ, JRocco, Maibockaddict! Thanks for sharing them.
Winged Liberty, I like the '32. Be careful not to stray too much from your pretty Lincolns. Been there. They call bust half collecting a fever but it's really a sickness. Or disease.
Lance.
Great coins!
I am particularly impressed with the 1811. For reasons that I cannot quite articulate, i am much more partial to toning that covers the entire coin surface, rather than the dipped out, bright in the center, rim toned coins, although the latter are certainly lovely and very market worthy. Ankur's 1820 is super example of what I look for.
Way to go Ankur!
Unfortunately for me, most of the MS Newman CBHS up for auction have an eerily similar look, in the category that I tend to find less favorable, so I'll be passing on this round. Though I have no doubt there will be some record setting hammer prices.
Here's my latest pic up:

That '36 66 is FAB.
In general, '35 and '36 don't seem to get a lot of respect, being lumped in with the other dates of the '30s. But I've found that not only are '35s and '36s rarer, but that the extant specimens usually lack eye appeal.
Here's my '36--a humble 64 to your 66, but I personally like the look:

<< <i>'Zin, so what do those 4 Busties have in common? >>
Well, for one thing, they are all in older ANACS holders.
<< <i>This arrived today from Dave Kahn. It's an O.116, R4+, formerly owned by Overton/Parsley and auctioned by Downey on 8/16/91 as part of his MBA. It's a nice AU53.

Is it me or are these just about the best photos one could hope to get of this coin? Nothing like great photos to help you appreciate a great coin.

You will need to study all four coins to get the right answer. Someone should get the correct answer.

They also all appear to be slightly off center...guidoes???
The 1811 PD looks like the tough one to match with the other 3.
Other 3 show some MAD's, some planchet errors, Some striations in the incuse designs...but not all 4.
I'll have to keep looking.
And have to post a couple more.

<< <i>You fellows trying to find the similarities in my four posted coins have observed many things, but the one thing they all have in common. "Wear" could it be? We might not get total agreement. >>
I thought about the "wear" on all four, but figured it is something else. They your only 4 XF's in your set?
