Most times yu have resubbed a card before finally getting a bump?

I have a beautiful George Gervin rookie that has been graded PSA 8 twice now. I wouldn't think about re subbing again other than for the fact that it is close to a $500 jump from an 8 to a 9.

Who has shown the most persistence that eventually paid off?

I am on 3 tries and counting on these two. They both baffle me. On the Jordan, they say "light Print Defects" on the tape they stick on it but don't specify where. On the Rose. they point out the upper right corner, which is oh so slightly dinged in the right light...

The white scratch on the Rose on the bill of his cap is the holder

What service level are you subbing on? I feel like that shouldn't matter, but maybe it does?

Clockwork I would crack and resub those two cards over and over like it was a part time job.

Almost forgot my beautiful 1976 Brett. I have tried 3 times as well.

Snap! That 76 Brett is crazy good.

    I'd crack the Rose also.

    Thanks,

    I've never re-subbed to bump a grade.

Mr. Clockwork - you have some high end cards!

For the '76 Brett there are only 11 PSA 9's ..........there are 0 PSA 10's.............over 1,300 have been submitted- it's going to be tough to get a PSA 10.

Yah I get that part of it and it's a good point....but hey someone got the first Ryan RC PSA 10 right?

Same thing with my Gretzky RC. There is only 1 PSA 10. I have seen pics of it and mine is nicer without a doubt. But after 2 reviews, it's clear they're not too excited about making that number 2

  • PSA = Please Submit Again.....I had a friend resubmit a card(Bird/Magic rookie) 13 times at the Philly show to get a bump from a 9 to 10.

That always makes me feel sketchy. First I am not confident about cracking the case without dinging the card, second the way PSA has been grading of late I am afraid I'd get an 8 on the Rose and 8.5 on the Jordan lol

I would not crack any of those....they're gorgeous and the dreaded EOT may come up. If you say the 64 Rose has a touch on the corner.....then what is the problem with the 8.5 ? The only card I would even consider cracking....and I would probably have to be drinking would be the Jordan. I say again....beautiful cards.

agree 1000%. combine tilt, touch & registration, and the grade seems very generous, but no more precise. that card needs to stay put.

I submitted a card 4 times for a review bump once before giving up.
As far as cracking and resubmitting, I once did it 5 times on a 1975 topps common.
I bought it as a nice well centered 8, cracked it and it got
    8.5, 8, 8, 8, 9
    The 9 sold for 450
