Labels on slabs question
When a census is established on coins (lets say just for example 2013 S Silver Eagles) and they receive different labels (first strike, early release, etc), is there a census for the coin series itself or is there a different census for each label? Does this make sense?? It's late.

Better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

I do know that First Strike has a different "census" (population) than regular Silver Eagles but for PCGS, at least, the total populations are bundled together with a total, and sub total(s) for regular and First Strike. At least, that's what I see with the 2013-W coins.
I do not see the 2013-S in the online Population Reports.
Let me check PCGSCoinFacts

pcgs has population reports.
we make forum threads with things like doily census counts
pcgs pop reports are by coin number. first strike and non first strike get their own coin numbers
for the new rp buffs the ana coin had no FS, but were their own coin numbers.
under the non ANA coins, it doesn' mater the label -- black diamond, etc -- either you paid for and received a first strike coin number and list with them or you did not and list with non-FS. the label varants within that are irrelevant in heir pop. reports.

True but PCGS does produce a "Total Population" which includes are variants of a particular coin (base + variants) in their pop reports.
