    BTW, thanks for posting this. It does rather whet the appetite.

    In less than 48 hours I'll be ankle-deep in some farm fields in Essex. One will be near a medieval abbey, I believe. Another is near a Roman site. Of course I'm in the hotspot for Celtic staters, too.

    Was the designer of Mexican coins taught by Roman sculpters? It looks similar to the eagle with a snake in its beak perched on the cactus on their coinage.
