November 1-2 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (CORRECTED)

Salt Lake Community College - Miller Training Center
9750 South 300 West, Sandy, UT
Contact info: 801-467-8636 allaboutcoins@qwestoffice.net

The show is sponsored by the Utah Numismatic Society, with about 70 tables

I heard good things about this show and since I have family in the Salt Lake City area, I thought I'd give it a try. Anyone else going?

Are the dates you posted for the show incorrect? If they are correct, the show was two weeks ago (October 15-16, 2013). Is it perhaps November 15-16, or maybe October 15-16, 2014?

    Charmy,

Welcome to Salt Lake City. I will be there and I guess now I need to bring even more money. I have always LOVED your show reports with all the pictures. I hope you have time to visit the area, the weather should be very nice this weekend and Salt Lake and the sorrounding areas are beautiful, bring your camera. I'm sure you can even find some nice wine here in mormon country, you may just have to look harder.

I am excited to see your inventory. I will be honest this show is hit or miss for me, but I think this one will be great. I know Kameron will be there and also Revick from west coast coins is usually there with great stuff.

I usually post ATS, I know there are a few Utah collectors over there, you may want to mention it there.

Thank you Nick! I went ahead and made a post ATS. And while I've been to SLC many many times in the past (my ex's family all live in Utah) and very much enjoy its beauty, it has been a long while and I am definitely looking forward seeing Utah again. I actually will be staying with my ex and his wife (they mostly live in Baltimore but also have a home in Utah near his folks and happen to be there now). I'm really looking forward to visiting all my ex-laws - they are some of the most wonderful people in the world and I can't wait to see them. I just hope there are many penny collectors in Utah!

And I definitely look forward to seeing you at the show, Nick.

I'm sure drunner will be there too! I know there are a couple other people on here that might attend.

Can't get off work? I never let work stand in the way of a coin show.image

Two words...Lunch Hour! (Or two, or three...)

Well, by backyard I mean less than a three-hour drive. It's a bit far for a lunch hour trip. image

Besides, I've been taking off loads of time lately. Time to buckle down and be productive for a while.

Nice show. Took my son, so I couldn't dig in and really search the tables.

I did buy a nice VF30 1903-O Barber quarter and a really nice common date 1902-S $5.00 Liberty in XF45. My addiction has been sated for a day or two at least.

I saw that 1903-O quarter! Almost bought it!!! Right now I'm partly disappointed that I passed on a nice coin and partly happy that it went to another forumite!

Also, I took some pics of the show and of what I bought. I'll post those sometime if I ever get around to it.
