width of gum in 1979 baseball topps wax packs

Was there only one size of gum included in 1979 topps baseball wax packs?
Was it the thicker size or was it skinnier?

I have seen some packs with differing sizes and the ones with the skinnier gum sticks look a bit suspect as far as being authentic and unopened.

any insight would be appreciated.

thx

Gum in 1979 packs should always be thicker size like all gum Topps used during this era in late 70s. Resealers unable to procure actual gum from this era will use skinnier sized gum from much cheaper late 1980s packs instead or shatter gum to try and fool people.

If BubbleBathBoy was still here , he/she/them could most likely give a pixel count for the actual size .

You might want to try to contact he/she/them as its common knowledge that he/she/them has copious amounts of spare gum, among otherthings. If you need wrappers include add that to your info request .

    Hope this helps--- Sonny
