Well got some vendor boxes again and about to rip 77,78,79 ones. Last time was pretty bad, but had some really nice cards too.

Will commence in a few....

  • got excited to see another murray then I actually looked at the card and it looks it was eaten by the machine

I'm sorry to say that if these are coming straight from vending, I'd be skeptical on it being an UNOPENED box. Maybe you knew that going in. Thanks for sharing regardless. Love to see the scans from the rips.

I would agree. A number of these cards seem too handled to be straight from vending.

  • Yeah these are some dead guys collection a family member selling them off. Last time the cards were a bit better with corners but who knows what has been going on with boxes since the guy bought them 36 years ago. I take them out they feel fresh you know straight from vendor box. They told me grandpa would buy and just put them away

Like I said last time they cheap. Cost me only 60 a box this time so it's all fun plus there quite a few grade cards. they have a ton of boxes and cards to 2007. Every week I grab some. It's cheap fun and my previous rip I pulled a few nice ones this one too.

I would never pay like bbce prices for these or any vendor box from the late 70 s. because even mint they are all oc. Cheaper to. Buy the cards you want.
  • well back to the rips here are the 77s

Don't dismiss that '78 Jackson Todd. It's a very tough card!

think i messed up the kemp
  • well thats all the scans I am doing for now.

I think a lot of these cards look in really great condition. I only scanned a small percentage.

Some of the most brutal was from 77 I do not know if someone tossed the box around or whatever, but there are still some nice ones. I would prefer all gem mint of course haha

If anyone wants me to scan a particular card. I will see if I got it. I put them in number order so just tell me the number and I will look up . I got almost a complete set on each .

Next week or so I am picking up the last of the 77 78 79 from the guy I buy them from. Maybe Ill cry more and lower the price more image .

He had some traded sets topps traded. I looked at 1982 but the cal ripken had a touch on the right top corner. is there any good sets of traded from 82 to 2007 or whatever I should look for ?

how about anything in the 2000s ? any good sets from that period . Not sure if they have inserts or not.

Always like the Ault card, but why did Topps use brown borders for the Bluejays cards??
  • good question , that is strange.

anyone know if any sets or anything good from 2000-2007 topps regular or traded.

  • Thanks Jackstraw, by the way nice registry 76. I hoping to start on that set as soon as I see a good offer on some of those cards.

I usually buy locally from estates or people needing the money. I live out in the boondocks so often find good deals on raw sets , cards and vendor boxes.

Actually someone might have a couple or so boxes of 76 vendors. But the boxes are located in philly and Im in georgia.
