Throw some light to the left of the D, not just to the South.
Is the lower serif split ?

I just checked my copy of the Wexler/Bordner/Allen book on early Lincoln Cent RPMs and your coin does not match anything listed. They have four RPMs for the date/mintmark- three to the north and a tilted RPM with split lower serifs. This doesn't rule out your coin being an RPM, it is just difficult to say anything given the images.

Awwwwww Shucks, I was hoping to see a 1939-D Mercury Dime FS-501 in PCGS MS67FB, MS68FB.... I read the title of the thread wrong, clearly. image

As for your coin, I can't tell for sure.

Looks like the Teletrade coin is one of the RPM north examples. Also note the primary mintmark location. The mintmark on your coin is farther north than the linked example.
