Michael Jordan Carolina Auto Ball and Auto Baseball Photo...these legit? Opinions requested please

No COAs for either. Are these worth sending in for a quick opinion and or pursuing or is it junk and stay away (1 or both)? Thanks in advance.

No on the baseball pic, the ball is fairly well done but not authentic either.

I will defer to the experts on the board on this one. IMO, I am always skeptical of non-authenticated MJ autographs. If I am wrong, I hope someone will correct me, but I am pretty sure that he has had an exclusive autograph deal with Upper Deck for around 20 years, so most of his autos should have some kind of Upper Deck authenticated hologram or COA of some kind. If not, then there should be a pretty clear explanation of how the autograph was obtained outside of his contract (perhaps in person at a charity event, etc.). If it seems like too good of a deal it probably is. Good luck,

During his playing days at UNC, the team set aside a time prior to the start of the season to autograph items. Early on, at least for the first half of the 1980's, the team and Dean Smith would sign nearly anything sent into them. Later in the 80's the team quit signing items and only Dean would sign them. While this does not guarantee the authenticity of the items listed, it does explain how there are many items autographed by Jordan prior to his UD contract.

I believe this was from 1983:

That's all well and good, but that would also be obvious based on the signature style.

Pretty much exactly my thoughts. I've looked at thousands of Jordan auto's from all different times and they just aren't real...though I thought about for maybe 2 more seconds on the basketball
    It never leaves you...
