Selling a pair of scarce date Large Cents, 1821 and 1857

1821 Coronet Head Large Cent, N-2. A sharp example of this tough date, one that is especially scarce in grades VF and better. Attractive, smooth brown surfaces that might just be a touch too glossy due to being wiped at some point. There is also an old, toned-over scratch on the reverse that runs from 9 o'clock into the wreath above ONE. Still, the sharp detail and overall attractive look make this a desirable coin, one that is far better than the typical survivor of the date.

1857 Braided Hair Large Cent, Large Date, N-1. An attractive example of this ever-popular, last year of issue, key date. Strong detail that's well into the AU range. Especially sharp considering it's a later die state which usually comes rather bluntly struck. Lightly cleaned and is now a deep brown color with olive and violet iridescence. A bit unnatural looking, but still attractive. Coin is a bit more of a deep brown color in hand (the photos picked up the iridescence).

The 1821 is $375. The 1857 is $260. Or you can take the pair for $625 (they do look nice together image). All prices include postage.

Paypal, check or money order ok.

Thanks for looking,

Kevin
