I thought those were interesting too. Would be nice to know who the certifying party is. I could see this being a legitimate "service" if they were pulled from mint sealed boxes.
Yeah.. Me too. ha ha. Looks just like a address label you can print up at home and put whatever you want on it. Wonder if there's tiny print on the bottom that says "Made in China"?
Better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
I would never even consider this one since the color on the envelope just doesn't look right. It looks closer in color to the aftermarket envelopes which are offered on ebay.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

It is an original envelope. And the ribbing of the corrugated cardboard insert that the Mint used in some of the 1955/1956 flat packs is evident in the image as well. If it is offered at a fair market value that makes sense, what is the problem? Current CDN bid for the '55 flat pack Proof set is about $98. Looks like a bargain to me at $76 right now. The end flap style outer envelopes have never been copied in my experience, and even indicates that the set is from the early phase of 1955 transition from the box pack to the flat envelope pack. The only inaccuracy posted by the seller is in the title, where they indicate Mint set instead of Proof set. Big deal.
