Lincoln Cents Short Set Circulation Srikes.........

PCGS has a Lincoln Cents Short Set Circulation Srikes 1934- 1958. My question is, What do you think of a " Lincoln Cents Short Set Circulation Srikes 1909- 1933 Registry Set? Is this something that the Lincoln cents collectors would consider? Your thoughts on this.

Welcome! My thoughts are that a Lincoln Cents "short set" from 1909 thru 1933 ONLY in circulation condition (ie) good thru uncirculated is a cool set to collect. In the lower circulated grades the 70 coins are definately collectable with only the 1909SVDB, 1909S, 1914D, 1922 plain and 1931S costing more than a very few dollars each. Go for it! Steve

If you are thinking of having PCGS create a registry set for those coins and having them all holdered, then the cost would be MUCH more.

Yes, I have been thinking about this for some time now. I have been building a complete set of 1909- 1958 Basic Circulation Strikes Set ,I also have a short set of 1934- 1958 Short Set Circulation Strikes. I was wondering if any other collectors were thinking the same.?

WOW! I didn't realize you were an advanced Lincoln cent collector. And the coins you've gotten from Andy I know are top notch. You should have that Set Registry complete shortly since you already have the tough ones. Good luck.

I asked PCGS about this very set a few years ago, and the response that I received was that this was too esoteric of a set to add, given the many number of combinations of lincoln sets already in place.

I would love to see this set!!! PCGS, please reconsider
