FSHO: scarce Vermont colonial

Good evening, all:

On behalf of a retired couple, I have sold a number of small lots of coins that, as non-collectors, they have held for some time. The coin I list tonight is one of their last pieces. It is a scarce Vermont that can be seen here:

This coin was the subject of a thread that appeared about one year ago:

I hope to sell this piece at a price that is fair to both the buyer and the owners. If you have any interest in it, please pm me. Note that one forum member (whom I will not name) has first refusal. I have pm’d this gentleman on Oct. 11, but have not heard back. (If you recognize yourself, please contact me!)

Thank you, and thanks to PCGS for providing this forum.

You say in your linked thread from a year ago that you would advise the seller to send it to PCGS for authentication. Did that ever happen?

Hello Rampage: I apologize for missing your query. I advised the owners of the existence of the professional certification route, but didn't recommend for or against it. I expect that anyone who is interested in this coin will have an expertise that is not easily trumped. If I can't make a sale on the boards, then I will advise the owners to enlist PCGS and Great Collections or Ebay (though I'm not keen on the latter).
At any rate, the coin is still available, and has not been sent out to anyone. I will be revising the listing and reposting in a day or two.
