American Eagle bullion coins in numismatic (collector) formats are
popular --- perhaps surprisingly so to hobbyists who don't actively
    collect moderns.

I just went to a mid size national coin show and did not see a single Type I $20 Lib there.

    Buff 5 cents,especially early.
Most/all Barbers seem to be warm to hot.
Lincoln cents are ALWAYS hot plus.
Many, many perfect transactions with other members. Ask please.

Seems like the early mint-marked Lincolns in nice XF-AU just keep going up and up.

My icon IS my coin. It is a gem 1949 FBL Franklin.

  • Early mint sets have been getting hot I think.

That seems to be a theme with the current market in most series that offer REG sets. Anything else is chopped liver.

    Capped Bust Half Dollars.
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.
  • Nicer Morgans seem to be doing well.

    This.

These have been pushed up a lot in the past few years. Lots of dates that used to hover at a modest premium above melt in XF and low AU are now $3k and $4k.

A man came into the shop the other day and bought 3 more Silver American Eagle proof coins in the U.S. Mint original boxes from me. One was 2006. The others were 2007, and 2010.
After paying he said he had completed the SAE proof set. I congratulated him. Then as he was leaving he turned around and said to me, "Well, I'll be back to start the next series in a month or two.". I thought to myself, "Cool, gold eagles", when he looked at me and said, "Yeah, I want to build a Sacagawea set, now".

He was in his mid 60's. That's just one guy. One tale. One moment in my day. Take it for what it's worth.
