Does a shield always denote Secure Plus?

I sent some raw stuff for grading thru Great Collections and they all got shields...but did not request Secure Plus grading.

Secure plus is the only pcgs label with a shield that I know of.
If you didnt pay for secure plus then you got a free upgrade I guess.
  • It might be that GC was requested to do Secure plus by another customer and your coins just tagged along.

  • Also, some coins can only be graded using secure plus.

    What coins were they?

    Yes, maybe that's it.

There was a Thai coin in there (MS68!) that I bought in the 80's at Jake's Marketplace in Chucago for $6.50, but everything else was USA, so maybe the World coin "dragged" the others along?
