Britannias Minted from Silver Sunk in WW2

Has anyone heard of Britannias being minted from silver salvaged from the S.S. Gairsoppa? This ship and its 7 million ounces of silver was torpedoed in Feb 1941. I'm getting the story from this article from Numismaster.com.. The only place I can find them for sale is thru http://www.meritgold.com. They will only sell a minimum of 7 tubes (15 coins per tube) for $1,736.86.
