Do you think these are reprints made to look old?

Kind of surprised me. I saw the Howe RC first then went to see what other cards he had up. They all are commonly faked and seem really worn, like perfectly worn. Hopefully not a fellow CU Board member. I hate to point this out and have people say they look fine, then have the seller go crazy. Just want to cover my ass and not buy a fake. I am as geen as it gets when it comes to spotting fakes.

What do you guys think?

the 1933 Ruth Rookie 'Goudy' card is a fake image lol

seriously if one card is bogus (R319 Ruth) they all will prob be, and no refunds and from Canada.... many flags here
  • Absolutely fake. The Robinson, Mays, Ruth, and Gretzky cards are all from the same scam artist who prints them in bulk.

Scroll down on this page to see all of the high-quality fakes:

Not to mention, the guy has nine negatives in a year. STAY AWAY.

I sent them a message asking if they will refund the money I spend on grading, shipping, insurance, etc., plus the purchase price if it comes back counterfeit. Still waiting for a response.
  • Yeah that is what I figured, but I wanted to make sure. Sad that this is the crap we have to put up with. I realize that the scam artist will always scam (make fake cards), the "crap" is the fact that many people have most likely complained and it goes nowhere! I hate seeing 50 fake Hower RCs available for sale and then 50 fake Gretzky RCs being sold by same guy a week later after at least one person reported him (me). I guess it is just part of the game. Thankfully there are places like this forum that can help novices like me in these situations.
