Is there a Website for a hall of fame rookie cards checklist?

I am a 67' seaver psa 7 & 68' ryan psa 7 from completing 60-present. I will start on the 50s next. My question is...1949-older...is there a website that would tell me the cards to look for regarding hall of fame baseball rookies?

It would be nice if there 2 lists .. One of true rookies and then another list with achievable alternatives. Like I will never be able to swing a 1914 babe Ruth but a 1921 caramel is still pretty early and within reason... Ie less than 5k in a psa 1 or 2... I would be interested to see a list too

I agree. Even the 1933 Goudey set will have several hall of famers whose rookie cards are simply too rare. Really would like to see a list of hof rc cards of tobacco cards through the 1930s

This site pretty much goes with the first appearance on any kind of cardboard collectible by a HoFer, so you've got some questionable entries, but for the most part this is a fantastic reference.

This is by far the best list I've seen. I don't always agree with the definition of a 'card' that they use and there's a lot of minor league cards listed, but it's complete and gives several options for each player.

I posted a list that I found on Net 54 in this thread - pretty good IMO.

Part of the problem is in defining a "card" -- do stamps, post cards, exhibits, etc. qualify?

Others might exclude regional issues with the belief that the first nationally distributed issue is the true rookie card.

As a long time HOF collector myself, my advice would be to not get caught up in the issue -- buy/collect what you like.

Personally I'm not a fan of multi-player cards -- no Koosman, Tompkins or the like in my HOF collection
