Card Saver 1's- What happens to them?

As I'm getting a sub ready the other day I began to wonder what PSA does with the card savers that they receive from subs. I went back 5 years and did a search on the subject in this forum and was surprised to only see one person asking the same type of question. While someone basically replied "I think they recycle them" there was no real definitive answer.

It's always seemed like such a waste to me to spend as much money on them as we do just to stick a card in there one time before I never see the saver again. I understand that they receive thousands upon thousands of these a day, but even if these are getting recycled it still seems like a huge waste. I wouldn't throw my dishes away after eating off of them only once.

Since I rarely ever see any of these for sale as used does anybody really know what happens?

I'm a big Nolan Ryan fan OK???!!!

During the grading process they apply stickers to them that are very difficult to remove. So unfortunately they're one and done.

I would think/hope PSA recycles these once they are through the process of grading.
Looking for high grade rookie cards and unopened boxes/cases
