This guy Brian Wilson has to be one of the most unique looking players ever in MLB. I realize his look is part of a bigger trend in society but I can't recall anyone who has sported a look like this.


He is a real life Ricky Vaughn.


Is this card his best rookie? I have to think this guy is going to become very popular.

    He was big in SF for years, but got national exposure in the 2010 WS.

    Do a search on Youtube for Brian Wilson commercials and you'll see a bunch of really goofy stuff.

    I'd say he's more Kenny Powers than Rickey Vaughn, but a good Kenny Powers, not an old washed up one.

    2006 SP Authentic auto is pretty much his best rookie card.

    During spring training in 2011, Charlie Sheen (when he was trying to be even more nuts) sent his pesonal jet to collect Brian Wilson to bring him back to his place for a private screening of Major League. Sheen apparently liked what he saw in Wilson and wanted to find a way to emulate it. Sheen then went out and acted more crazy than usual for about a year.

    I think the cult following ended with the surgery and leaving SF. I think most people see him as the clown that he is.

    I used to hate that guy when he played for the Giants!

    Now that he's on the Dodgers I love him!

    He got a pretty big pop when he came into the game in the 8th tonight and theres lots of Dodger fans sporting real and faux big black beards.

    Too funny, the beach boys singer became ultra strange. The other band members actually took him by force from his house and drug him into the ocean to get him to snap out of his funk.

    Nice BNL reference! I went to see them this past Thursday. Probably the most fun concert I've ever been to. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone that wants an entertaining evening and likes their music.
