The Wrestling Unopened discussion thread

With all the talk from unopened collectors for baseball, football, etc. I haven't seen much talk on unopened wrestling packs and boxes. I was hoping we could discuss the pros and cons of some boxes. Also how hard some of these are to find.
To start off here are some I found over the past year or so. First was 1995 CARDZ WCW Main Event. I opened this box upon arrival and I believe it would have made two sets with some doubles. I did get 3 of the Steve Austin Cards which I recently sent to PSA. Waiting for them to come back.
Next I scored a 1991 WCW Impel box. I think I got this for 5 or 6 bucks shipped. I haven't opened this one yet as there doesn't seem to be anything to exciting in it. Will probably rip this sometime when I am bored.
Some boxes I am looking at either to rip or set back are 1990 Classic WWF, 1991 WCW Championship Marketing, 1995 WWF Action Packed, 1986 Monty Gum, 1987 Topps WWF, 2002 Fleer Royal Rumble. Also want a box of 2004 TNA badly.
Looking for thoughts on any of these and suggestions to what I could add to my list.

I think the 2002 WWE Royal Rumble is a great set and I have a few of those boxes set aside which is not like me.
In the big picture I would be ripping to get the cards graded. There is much more value in an unopened box then there is sealed.
Wrestling cards do not have the historical history that other sports have so there is really very little nostalgia from collectors who opened them as kids.
I busted a few packs of 1985 WWF Topps when then came out but they cost the same as the baseball packs and pulling a Dwight Gooden was a much greater prize then any of the cards in the set.
It is hard for me to see sealed wrestling boxes eclipsing their break up value any time soon. It may happen one day but it will take a much larger number of collectors chasing them.
If you want to attempt to invest in unopened product many of the magazine sets, sealed sets or packets would be a better way to go. You need interest in the contents to drive the price.
Looking to BUY n332 1889 SF Hess cards and high grade cards from 19th century especially. "Once you have wrestled everything else in life is easy" Dan Gable
It looks like the 2002 WWE Royal Rumble boxes are getting harder to find as well. The 85 Topps DPeck100 also mentioned are getting pricey. I noticed the 87 Topps ones seem reasonable. Were there a good bit more of these made?
<< <i>I don't necessarily want to collect a bunch of unopened. More so I want to discuss more about what is out there and how hard some of it is to find. I am a fan of CM Punk and I would like to find a box of 2004 TNA cards that were made by Pacific so I can pull my own rookie card from a pack. I haven't seen one of these boxes in a while. I would likely rip most any box I come across looking for cards for my collection and to grade.

I would imagine there are more of the 87 Topps made. I honestly have no way to verify it. Wrestling hit it's peak in 1987 and 1988 so one would imagine with the explosion in print runs from baseball it carried over to wrestling.
The 1987 set really has so few good cards that I don't see it getting expensive.
I would suspect that a box of the 2004 TNA cards would do very well. I haven't looked at them but I realize the CM Punk card has gained some steam. If you can find one of those I would rip it and send them in to PSA if you pull any nice cards of his.

I have come close to buying a set a few times or just buying some singles of the card. There were also parallels as well. I believe I saw a red foil one. I don't constantly look but I haven't seen a box in quite a while. I guess I need to set up an alert for EBay so I can snag one when it gets listed.
