1973 Panini #375 Jack Nicklaus PSA 10 Gem Mint on EBAY...

I just happened to be looking through some listings on EBAY and found this one. This is a very cool card. It will be interesting to see if the explosion in older high grade Hall of Famer's will carry over to this one. It is always cool to see a card like this in such high grade.

It's been a while since I looked at the 70s Paninis so correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the Campioni Dello Sport back the common back?

Is that really his rookie? Between the hot air grandiose description and the fact that the seller says they have the item listed elsewhere and reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time I have a hard time taking anything they say seriously. Under 10 feedback, too.

It is not his rookie. 1971 Barratt is his rookie but the panini in high grade usually sell for 4 figures. It doesn't appear to be a rare variation back. I'm sure there are Valida back versions of this card but I don't remember seeing any. The 71 card is fairly common but it's virtually impossible to find centered. I would rather have that than the panini. I just checked the pop report and there actually 4 psa 10 panini and zero psa 10 Barratt. But there are 33 psa 9 Barratts vs only 47 total panini ever graded. As someone who looks for panini cards fairly often I wouldn't consider the Nicklaus that rare... And when it is available it's usually in pretty good condition. The 73s seem to be much easier to find in mint condition than other panini sets. I have no idea if its because the stock is a little thicker or if there was stash of unopened material.
Scans of most of my Misc rookies can be found <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://forums.collectors.com/m...y&keyword1=Non%20major">here

The guy is legit. I purchased a few cards from this seller recently and that is how I found the listing.

I honestly know very little about this issue. I just think it is a cool card and a great photo of Jack.

The listing says it is a Pop 4 so if anyone wants to add one to their collection there are not many to choose from.

There is not a variation back to this card and I like this one better than the Barratt myself, but that is me. It is not his first card though.

It is a fairly tough card to find although more came out around 5 years ago or so and the overseas sellers are sharp and know what they have now.

Call me old fashioned but if a seller wants me to take them seriously they should display at least a third-grade understanding of grammar.

Seller is a good dude and you will have no problems if you buy from him.....I would rather know that than deal with someone with perfect grammar with questionable ethics, poor shipping, etc.

"Buy the card, not the seller", as the saying goes, or something like that. I appreciate you (and others that picky) for not bidding on those auctions, some of my best deals have come from that kind of seller.
