SEAHAWKS....I said it here 1st....I'm a little worried.

They're good....very good and talented. I'm starting to think that offensively this is not going to get it done and will not work long term. I will explain.

1. All of these runs that Wilson is doing and they are spectacular to watch...Are they necessary? If they are; then his receivers are never getting open or is he not looking at the 2nd and 3rd options at all?

2. And the biggest reason this will not work long term: he will end up getting hurt. The reason is that it has never worked long term in the NFL...Never. Never. Never. Never.

3. The Seahawks keys to winning will be the D staying healthy, Lynch and Wilson will have to continue to get better as a passer. He missed a "WIDE" open Golden Tate down the sideline.

To close....I'm not bagging on Wilson...I just know that this will not work to a Super Bowl and it will surely not work long term. It will be fun to watch for awhile. The Coach better seriously consider a change in the offensive game plan. If they expect Wilson to run around like a cross between Michael Jordan and Barry Sanders this will end in disappointment.

Great game today though.

One of the biggest knocks this week I've heard in regards to Wilson has been his lack of running. Today he does it and he posts one of his biggest days this year.

He's averaging just over 5 rushes a game this year.

Even the best QBs miss wide open receivers some times.

Why is it an issue today after a loss, but hasn't been an issue in their four wins?

Danny, I would say the offense line needs to get healthy and they should be fine. I think Russell has actually won games for them they should have lost, so I'm going to not blame him. The defense today (against the Colts) just had one of those off days. If they just cut down half the 3rd down conversions made on them today they probably would have won. I going to give the Colts full credit for the win today.

Let's also not discount the west coast teams going east and having to play at 10am their time effect, which is well known (despite *some* board members arguments to the contrary). Even in spite of all that they nearly won today. Indy now has taken out both Seattle and SF.

With 4 out of 5 starting offensive linemen being out .... well, it's not a good thing. Wilson HAS to run, just to survive. That said, he's truly amazing when he does take off. He's really gashes D's, and rarely takes a hit. Extremely heady player.

Hopefully things will get better on the O-line soon. This is crazy.

I'm not worried. They split consecutive 10am starts, and only lost today because of a special teams play.

The lack of protection is directly a result of our 3 starters missing from the line. It can't be easy for Wilson to try to see his check downs when his pocket collapses. Again, I'm not worried. Okung will be back, Unger will be back, and the big Russian will be back....and we STILL haven't seen Harvin.

These boards are like sports talk radio--one loss and we're in big trouble, one win and we're playoff bound, LOL..

    True this.
  • His fantasy numbers are tremendous while his receivers' are sucking wind.

Folks, I didn't say I'm jumping ship or that Wilson is not a fine player....he is terrific. I just don't like the fact that he is having to run all over the place. Sometimes he is clearly making great plays out of nothing and that is dynamite. Other times it appears that they are putting in run plays for him too much. He has a good group of receivers. I just don't want to see Wilson get hurt. This team and the city's expectations are a Super Bowl Championship; not just a great regular season record.

Wilson is great and I'm glad he is in Seattle. They will go as far as he will take them. If he improves as a passer they will be fine.

Injuries to the O-line and other positions are always the wild card for every team. Has Okung played more than 5 or 6 games in a row since he was drafted?
