Great looking cards. Did you get them slabbed AUTHENTIC because of the way the backs were cut?

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

    Doug,

The sample was a 3 card panel and was cut to form the 3 cards.

That's the only grade you can get because its trimmed

That's correct. There is one other PSA graded set that is labeled as "puzzle back", rather than this salesman sample label. The set sold on eBay a little while back. Wish I had bought them, but the seller sold them for less than what I had offered for them, unfortunately. I do not know of any other sets out there. If anyone knows of any, please let me know.

Thanks for looking at my cards and not being biased to only sports cards. image

Those are very nice cards that you just don't see very often

Thanks Tom and Richard. I didn't know they were issued in the three card panels like the baseball salesman's copies were. They are real nice cards and it's always nice when a collector shares rare cards with the rest of us.

Nice cards. Did you cut them yourself or is that how you got them?

I bought them that way. I would be willing to bet that they were cut decades ago. I have seen a third set of these just this afternoon. It is an uncut sheet that one of our own message forum members own. It is composed of three different cards than I have seen before. So, that makes a total of 9 of these cards I've seen.I am trying to determine exactly how many of these promos were produced. Does anyone have connections at Topps? Is there a research department or anything?
