Storing vintage rack packs

I have began to accumulate some late 70's rack packs. Right now, I have them laid flat, draped with a layer of bubble wrap, and stacked in a drawer. When I have received them, they have been folded and bubble wrapped. For the rack collector, will it hurt to leaven folded and wrapped, or are they better laid flat?

yeah, it seems mine always get folded when shipped. Ive stored mine both ways. If in need of space, folded...I tend to like folded as the cards don't shuffle around as much. But paying attention to the rack top ad not to get folded up
