Remember buying bricks of rookie cards in the '80's?

Fun times. I had several hundred of guys like Dave Magadan, Ted Higuera, John Kruk, Phil Bradley, etc. The penny stocks of the day.

I did score with a large lot of Kirby Puckett Fleer rookies but the others were all busts.

I didn't have 100s. I had dozens. I decided that LHPs were the way to go -- got lucky with Randy Johnson and Tom Glavine. Lilliquist, Mercker, Magrane, etc -- not so lucky.

I have like 250 1987 Topps Andres Galarraga RC's. The Big Cat was solid, but not a HOF player. At least I didn't take a bath because I only paid a few cents for each.

Still have 800 count blocks of 87T Greenwell and Eric Davis. Waiting for them to peak before I unload to fund the retirement plan!
