I just got back in from visiting my son at UCF- Orlando. Stopped in a small shop in the middle of town for the first time .(Not OCEX, they were closed due to Sarasota) Small shop, but guy and wife were very friendly and just while I was there they had some decent business. Next time I am down , will stop in anyway, they mentioned they will be doing the Jacksonville show this upcoming weekend.

  • That's great, we get great dealers at both our shows and there's all ways something to buy.

How many dealers are usually in attendance? It's a 5-hour drive for me but I'm itching to do a worthwhile road trip.

  • This is our smaller second show of the year and will have 35 to 40 dealers with 52 tables sold out.

I'm in California, so probably not going to attend, but I have a few rolls of 1956-D Lincoln Cents in wrappers marked:

Jacksonville Branch Federal Reserve Bank of Florida

    How rare are these?

It begs the question why are you on the same weekend as the South Carolina State Show in Greenville????? I will be in Greenville! Ask your bourse chairman why I haven't attended your shows since you moved into the dance hall! I did the shows for 10 years prior!

The location of the club's summer show is in the Morocco Temple auditorium which has room for several hundred tables and is
all ways a great show with lots of dealers and shoppers, that show is at the end of May and first of June. The show this weekend
is a revival of the fall shows we used to do several years back and this is only the second year of it but as was last year it is a sold
out show. As for it being on the same weekend as the Greenville show and you not being able to attend that is truly our lost and I
will ask the question to the chairman about the scheduling conflict and perhaps something can be done. In the mean time if you
are free for our summer show the club would sincerely appreciate you returning to that show if you could make it.
Hope you do well in Greenville.
    Thanks
    Tiny

I really have no answer for you at this time but I will contact a friend of mine that collects anything having to do
with coins or currency that carries the Jacksonville name on it. I would think that a roll from the local Fed would
bring a premium or at least from him it would.

Wouldn't think that two coin shows, close to 400 miles apart, on the same weekend, would be a major problem for either show. However you can ask the "President" (not for much longer) of the Jacksonville Coin Club while you are in Greenville this weekend. The Jacksonville Show is certainly the big winner this weekend.

LOL! That's not what a few of the dealers here in Greenville said who did the show last year. This show is probably 3-4 times the size of the Jacksonville show! image

Jacksonville, if I'm not mistaken is less than 200 miles from Greenville!
  • Greenville S.C. is 397 miles from Jacksonville FL. so like seofo said

You can ask questions about the same weekend scheduling and why the move to a dance hall, which I don't think the
Morocco Temple auditorium could be called, to the ANACS rep at the Greenville show, I'm sure he'll be happy to answer
    them for you.

If I may ask a question of yourself, what city are you from? Just wonder as to the travel distance and which city is closer to you.

    Have A Great Show
