Attributing 1793 Half Cents Varieties

I've been looking for information on the 4 Cohen varieties, but I can't find anything about pick up points, or anything about how to tell which one you've got. Anyone know of a site with this info, and hopefully pictures?

Need the same for Chain Cents as well if you've got the time

Your best bet is to buy, or obtain the numismatic books on the subject, such as:

Walter Breen's Encyclopedia of U.S. Half Cents 1793-1857

or,

Subscribe to CoinFacts at PCGS.com, for a small fee. It is good research
site for all coin information & visual examples.

or,

Look at Heritage Auction archives for numerous visual examples of all coins

or,

check out this site for chain cents. You will need to study each of these varieties
for their differences, which will become apparent after comparing them.

You don't need a book to attribute chains as there are only four varieties.
S-1: Ameri.
S-4: Periods
S2 and S-3: America. There us really no difference in value between S-2 and S-3.

Look at Greg Heims web site (njcoinbuyer.com )has nice pictures - pay attention to the distance of the pole from the neck and the center dots on the reverse

Similarly, only 4 varieties for 1793 half cents.
Cohen-1 periods after AMERICA. and CENT.
Cohen-2,3 no periods, short ribbons and stems (reverse)
Cohen-4 no periods, long ribbons and stems
