Difference between insert, subset and parallel card?

I've been collecting graded Jordan cards for a little while now and was just thinking about what constitutes a card as an insert, subset and parallel card?

Anyone know? Examples?

A subset card is in the base set but bears a differing design to the majority of the cards in the base set. A parallel is an inserted, different version of the base set with similar design and numbering. An insert is a card that is inserted which is of different design and numbering from the base set.
