The case for resubbing...

I have a pile of centered 8's for low pop 9's regular 75 topps, including this card, that meet or exceed this standard. Is it really a matter of re-subbing until i get the grade deserved?

Took this off the preview at PWCC and is not meant to be a critique of Brent's service and offerings.

  • I would say that would be a very strong 8 maybe 9. It is a hi-res scan at 2 ½ times normal size. I do think resubbing helps though. I’ve never seen more than a point higher while resubbing, and those are few, but there.

You can find "weak" 9s and "strong" 8s all day long. Pick out the right one's and you can make some money, pick the wrong ones and you can lose a ton too. Just have to decide if the cost of resubmissions is worth the risk. I've had 17 or 25 bump a full grade after cracking out and resubbing. It wasn't a tough issue, 1971 topps hockey. Most went from 7 to 8, a couple 8s went to 9.
