Thank you Mariano Rivera and Andy Pettitte

With Andy (not surprisingly) announcing his retirement today and with Mariano's final season with gratitude felt all over baseball, even if you are not a Yankees fan, thank you for your passion and friendliness to fans.

As a Yankees fan, we have been spoiled, especially with Mariano Rivera. Yankees fans just expect a closer who is automatic. Rivera will be impossible to replace and will be talked about for years to come with every closer that slides into that role.

Knowing how the Yankees spend money, it is great pride for Yankees fans that these guys were home grown.

Thanks for the memories Mariano Rivera and Andy Pettitte!

    Just like Rivera, Andy couldn't ask for a better way to finish his career. First complete game since 06 when he was with the 'Stros and did it in front of his hometown. He's a good dude and wishing him the absolute best.
    So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

    Maybe it was because you were good and played for the wrong team.
