So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
I was up in the air on this, and didn't have strong feelings either way, until I watched PTI and they made a great point: don't want them splashing in your pool? Win games. Don't let them celebrate on your field. How is it any more or less 'insulting' than when a team celebrates a playoff spot/division/championship on the opposing team's field?
And let's be honest: it's not as if the D'backs have a long-standing tradition here, it's not like this is, oh I don't know, Chavez Ravine with decades of history behind it. This is a relatively new field with a frickin' swimming pool in it. Fenway Park it is not.
As a Dodger fan I would have preferred they had basically no celebration. In my mind there is nothing to celebrate until you win the world series. I remember the Lakers, in the 80's, did very little celebrating until the finals championship was won. Oh well.

I'm probably in the minority, but I thought that was pretty funny.

<< <i>Meh. Still tacky. >>
Is it any tackier than having a pool in your stadium to begin with?
