Does This Really Happen?

If it happens, it happens on eBay....where anything is possible and dreams really do come true.

Is it possible from the manufacturer? Not likely, considering they distribute the 2 sports in 2 opposite parts of the year

It does happen, and straight from the Topps factory, too. Steve has sold (and authenticated for PSA) 1980 cello packs in which the top half of the pack is football cards and the bottom half is baseball cards. Packs are perfectly authentic hybrid packs, so that is possible.

I highly doubt a resealer would choose to make a pack like that in the first place.

Edit to also add: I would not pay anywhere near that premium for that '84 rack pack, though. IIRC a PSA 9 1980 fb/bb hybrid cello would sell for around $50.

Here's one of the 1980 Topps Football/Baseball cellos I purchased raw from Steve and submitted to PSA some years ago:

I stand corrected! I assumed it was fake

  • Wouldn't that be a hoot with a Henderson rookie on top and some major FB player, like Peyton on top?

Hender-Simms would be a pretty cool pack considering each is the flag bearer for rookies from that particular season.
