1966 Topps Mantle - SP or DP?

Was the 1966 Topps Mantle #50 a single or double print? I see a number of references listing it as a DP, but the card only shows up once on this uncut sheet.

  • I believe its on 2 different sheets as its a DP for sure.

For the record, SP means Short Print, not Single Print.

Yes Mantle is a DP, the rows beginning with Dick Allen and Pete Rose where printed twice when compared to every other row on the other half of the 264 card sheet.

    In total 4 rows printed 3 times (132 cards) and 6 rows printed twice (132) = 264

Thanks for the replies. I had not considered that two sheets make up the print run.

Does anyone happen to know the row positions of the Mantles on the other sheet, or better yet, have a picture of the other sheet?

    Thanks.
