1981-82 Basketball Unopened Box Question

Does anyone know if/how you and tell from the box if a 1981-82 unopened wax box is the East, Midwest, or West version? Thanks
Collecting Unopened Material 1975-1985 and Full World Series Tickets 1970-Present

    Just a guess, but can you see through any of the packs? The front or back of non-national cards should give you your answer. Good luck. BTW, the boxes were not sealed by Topps, so unless it has BBCE wrap, the checking the packs should be no issue.

    I don't believe there is any outside information that indicates what region is in the box.

    If it is an X-out box, then it is not a West box

    West boxes weren't allowed to be returned by Topps
