Grading FAQs

Hello all,

I was curious as to whether or not the boards had a grading FAQ thread (please note, I did not search for one, haha). Either way, I have two scans of cards that I am interested in selling, but I want to give them appropriate grades before doing so. I am not trying to spam them as I have no clue when I will actually get them to ebay. Anyway here are the two cards in question:

The Killebrew is a strong EX grade. My concern is the surface indentation to the right of his hat brim. What does an indentation like that do for the grade?

For this Kinder card, my question is when does corner wear become paper loss? I have seen some Good/VG cards with significant corner wear, but would this bottom right corner constitute corner wear or paper loss? It almost looks like someone ripped a part of the corner rather than wear.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Hal

If I were selling them, I would probably list the Killebrew as EX and then note the indentation in the listing, if you're wondering what it would grade, I would say PSA 3 or 3.5. The Kinder card I would list at VG+. It would probably grade a 2 or 3 because of that corner, but with the eye appeal I don't think you can go wrong with VG+.
