Does ebay ever enforce any of its listing policies when items are reported?

Sometimes I just get frustrated having to sift through some sellers' keyword spamming items when I'm actually looking for something to buy. Does ebay ever actually enforce any of their listing policies at all? I've reported a lot of items over the years when the seller seemed to be taking things too far, but rarely if ever have I seen listings removed. Does anyone else hear ever get tired of searches that come up with items that shouldn't be presented on a results page, as you see with this tool? Here's a good example of a listing he's got that is just annoying: didn't realize you could list 5 or more different years as a rookie Rivera

I'm not at all worried about trying to compete for sales with people like this, just that I find less and less patience as a buyer having pointless results come up on a search.

From what I've seen, only when something is obviously fake and pointed out from multiple sources. Keyword spamming probably gets more sales (and more eBay fees) so no big deal. Buying something cheap from these sellers and neg feedback seems to be the only way to correct.

I had to laugh when one of the board members here had 'MINT slab' or something to that effect on every PSA graded card listed. It might technically be true, but was just keyword spamming MINT on a lot of mid-grade singles IMHO.

I've reported fake cards and ebay hasn't done anything. I've also reported fake watches and ebay has removed the listing. So, I guess it depends.

Unless its quite blatant, ebay wont do much. That's money out of their pocket both ending listings and the man hours spent on something minimal.

I was wondering why that watch said "Rolecks"...
