New PSA slab model? What is release date?

Hi - I recall one of the recaps from The Nationalmwas that Joe O announced a new slab design. Is this correct? Anyone have info in when its due out if it is? Didn't see any info on the website. Thanks.

I hope not! Isn't it to late in the game to change there holder? We all have hundreds to thousands of the old holder. Can you imagine the backlog with us OCD collectors trying to change our collections over! That's probably what they want

Joe O said that the new holders will be introduced slowly as the older ones get phased out. These new holders will still sit on top of the older ones, to most people, you won't even notice unless you look at it from the side.
This is a good thing for PSA and us. I don't believe you will need to reholder all your cards.

I realize we all have different preferences but I for one like the fact that the holders are on the slimmer side. I don't throw my cards around, I store them, look at them but the amount of protection given by the Psa holder is fine as long as the card isn't being handled by my seven year old daughter. I am curious as to how much thicker they will be. I like the fact that I can store a vintage set in alot less space than with SGC and BGS holders. What they really should have addressed is the way the cards can still move depending on the issue. My 56 set is nice and snug but I have three beautiful mantles from 57 thru 59 that rattle around.
