PSA "Authentic" / Trimmed Question

Will PSA grade trimmed cards as "AUTHENTIC" if you request it at submission? If so, do you need to note it on the submission form or call/email?

It's possible to get a trimmed card slabbed. You probably have better luck calling ahead and talking it over with customer service.

I recently had a pretty rare card come back as trimmed, not holdered. I needed it for my Master Set to fill the spot. Called and was at first told that they "don't holder trimmed cards". I have a couple already and informed the person of that fact.

They finally agreed to holder the card as "authentic" trimmed.

They will typically holder "altered" cards--so long as it is a significant-enough card--, but 1) you have to make a special request, and 2) they will put the "alteration" on the flip.

I had a Jordan RC that I subbed a few months ago that was recolored; once it popped, I asked them if they could holder it as authentic, and they did, with "recolored" on the flip.
