The misadventures of erroneous listings...

I've seen a wide range of listings with erroneous assumptions or misapplied logic in my years, including an alleged "White Background" Luckman in a recent catalog auction that was actually just heavily sun bleached. Currently, there is a Luckman wrong back on eBay and it is listed as a "White Background," but alas, it isn't. The card, when examined closely, exhibits the yellow ink overprint from the Frank Tripucka card and is absent the yellow ink that should've been printed on the Luckman. The yellow shows from the ball, the number "8" and the small patch of yellow on the visible portion of Tripucka's pants. While the card appears to be in incredible condition, it is actually an overprint rather than a "White Background." This is confirmed when looking at the reverse and realizing that the back is upside down which can be see by the blue ink wet transfer from the Luckman jersey.
Still, a very interesting card and one that I'd love to add to my collection of misfit toys, but not as that sort of price tag...

Yeah it is.
What do you think it will fetch?

I'm not sure we'll ever know what it fetches as the sale will probably be offline and private. I'd have more interest if it weren't a wrong back, but alas, that's part of the reason that the front inking of the yellow is the way it is. I figure realistically it is $2000-5000, perhaps more to a motivated buyer. Given the current asking price of $88K, I don't think it will be changing hands anytime soon.
